MEHRHAUS is located in a densely developed, mid century neighborhood near Five Points in Raleigh. The 3,800 sf house fits the scale of the neighborhood while nestling into a .3 acre site.
FERGUSON/CROWTHER RESIDENCE is a modern home built on the foundation of the existing 1940’s home. The neighborhood is densely developed and the new home fits the scale and forms of the neighborhood while clearly updating the design vocabulary.
HURT/MANZI RESIDENCE features a separate artist’s studio that is joined to the house through an exhibition gallery. The home is organized around an outdoor courtyard.
MORRISON RESIDENCE is a residence located in a secluded forested site. The living spaces are arranged around courtyards, each with a different function, solar orientation and view. The interior spaces capture light that plays off of unfinished concrete interior walls.
WHEELER RESIDENCE is a series of renovations over a period of over twenty years. The home of an interior designer and an art collector, the design accommodates comfortable living with art and generous connections to outdoor spaces.

RUNNEYMEDE RESIDENCE is a renovation of an important early modernist home in Raleigh, NC. The home is designed by a disciple of George Matsumoto and is located beside a Matsumoto home. The design preserves the qualities of the original design while updating and modernizing the home.
POOLSIDE ADU is located in Hollywood, CA in an historic overlay district. We retained the street-facing remnants of the original garage and transformed the pool side to create an open, modern, light-filled living space that can also support entertaining, SoCal style.
HOPE VALLEY RESIDENCE The modernist home creates a private oasis in an established Durham neighborhood.
DUERI RESIDENCE is a new Raleigh residence sited in a heavily wooded residential neighborhood on a steeply sloped lot with an active stream at the rear.
McKELLAR RESIDENCE is a 2500sf home for an artist and musician featuring studio and rehearsal spaces. The home is split into two living and sleeping sections joined by a gallery.
HART BEACH HOUSE is an ocean front vacation home in Pine Knoll Shores, NC. The home is situated on a very small plot with shaded southern views to the ocean
WHEELER ADDITION is a screened porch addition and expansion of the master bedroom. Inspired by Japanese tea houses, the garden pavilion is an outdoor living space that flows seamlessly from house to garden.
CHERRY - GORDON RESIDENCE is a modern home built in the Oakwood historic district in Raleigh, NC. The home is scaled and proportioned to be compatible with the historic neighborhood homes while expressing a modern interpretation of craftsman homes.
SUN RESIDENCE
THERIEN RESIDENCE is currently under construction and will be complete in spring 2021. The three level home sits on a steep slope with views to the forest at the rear of the propoerty.
CROOP RESIDENCE is a 2700 sf modern home located on 10 acres of wooded property outside of Chapel Hill, NC.
DURHAM RESIDENCE is an extensive renovation of a 1960’s home that backs up to Duke Forest. The 3800 sf home maximizes natural light, clean lines and access to outdoor spaces.
CRAVEN/KWAPIL RESIDENCE This 900 sf homes was built in 1910 and in dilapidated condition. The new design doubled the size, restoring the original house exterior while adding a modern addition for living and master bedroom suite.
CHAPEL HILL RESIDENCE is an addition and renovation of an Arthur Cogswell designed home. The addition provides a new master bedroom suite and a roof terrace that projects into the forest.
